Welcome to the digital album release of "A Light Long Gone", which allows you to listen to individual instruments in any combination you want and explore my music in a more intimate way.

You can watch the complete instrumental mix on YouTube, which is a recording of the running application that you can interact with.

All of the original songs (which include vocals for the most part) are available for free on YouTube, in addition to Spotify and various other digital music markets.

About The Music

In 2019, I decided to create one song per month. While mostly electronic, it contains instruments such as grand piano, acoustic guitar, vocals, with several additions by guest musicians (cello, violin, trumpet, e-bass, and many more). Most songs can probably be categorized as chill/downtempo, and revolve around dark/depressing themes, with a few rays of hope every now and then.

Wow, so glad I found this hidden gem in the bundle, and thanks for supporting Ukraine with your work! Is there somewhere I can send you what I would have paid if I hadn't bought it with the bundle? Like a KoFi page or Patreon??

(+2)

Thank you so much! I'm glad people are discovering it and that my work can be part of something that is used for good.

I was looking around in the bundle for racial justice again some time after I bought it and I have to say, I'm pleasantly surprised to have found this album in the middle. Amazing music!  And messing around with the songs, enabling/disabling instruments and the voice, is a pretty nice touch. Thank you very much for this :3

Thank you for playing it and for your kind words!!

Can't get this to load on my mac running Catalina. Vague error message says "The application “ALightLongGone_MAC” can’t be opened."

Hey denvergreene! I cannot test this myself, but this is what I found:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Unity3D/comments/dpyo0o/building_unity_project_for_mac_osx_1015_catalina/f7dhhgy/

Quote: "The solution is to chmod +x App/Contents/MacOS/* from the terminal as the application did not have the executable flag set. After this guardian catches it and control clicking on the app lets it be opened."

Please let me know if that fixes the issue!

Absolutely groundbreaking. I listened to your album three times in a row and, with toggling instruments on and off, it felt like listening to three different albums. It is not an overstatement to say that the way I interacted with your work has changed the way I see music, which I have loved for all my life but can hardly understand from a technical standpoint. It has brought me closer to it like few things have. Thank you so much :)

Wow, thank you so much for your kind words!! That makes me really happy 😸

Hi there!

First off thank you for be apart of the bundle!  Secondly I can't seem to get it to work on my PC and I dont know what i'm doing wrong T-T

Hello durzarina! Thanks for supporting the bundle and for downloading my album! Are you getting any errors? I assume you downloaded the Windows ZIP file and started the exe file, is that correct?

Yes that's correct.  It comes up but then immediately closes itself without error or anything.  I even tried opening it as administrator.  Still nothing ☹️

Oh no ): That sounds bad, I'm not sure how I can reproduce and fix this. Which operating system are you running, is it Windows 10? You can also contact me at muddasheep@gmail.com if you want to keep the discussion going there.

Edit: Here's a thread on reddit with a few ideas/potential solutions, even though I realize you said you don't get an error message. It is a Unity application, so that may be able to help you. Let me know if you can figure it out!
